Women's Soccer Shutout In Rhode Island Trip Finale

WARWICK, R.I. - The Fighting Owls were not able to get on the score sheet, falling 2-0 to Monroe CC (Rochester, N.Y.) in the finale of a two-game Rhode Island road trip.

Harford (3-3-1, 3-0-0 MD JUCO) put seven shots on target but were unable to breakthrough against Chloe Crook, the Red Raiders' keeper. Monroe (5-1-0) were powered by forward Ally Sharpe. The freshman scored both goals for Monroe, one in each half.

Defender Rachel Keeley was the Fighting Owls most prominent goal-threat with two shots on goal in the match. Harford goalkeeper Maggie Shifflett was able to stop six out of eight shots on goal to keep the high-scoring Red Raiders somewhat at bay.

The Fighting Owls end their Rhode Island trip 0-1-1. They will remain on the road when they travel to Anne Arundel to face off against their conference rival Thursday at 5 p.m.
