Box Score
BEL AIR, Md. - After falling behind 2-0 in the first 20 minutes of the contest, the Harford women's soccer team (5-3-2) fought back to earn a 2-2 tie against previously untouched Cape Fear (9-0-1). The Fighting Owls forced overtime in the 79th minute.

Harford goalkeeper Maggie Shifflett turned away shot after shot down the stretch to preserve the tie. The Sea Devils scored first in the 12th minute off a set play off a free kick. Madyson Marshburn was the benificiary off the nice set from Barber and Kelly Sigmon. Seven minutes later, Amanda Fenton sent a through ball over the Fighting Owl defense that found a streaking Barber for a 2-0 lead.

Just a few minutes before the half ended, Harford finally took control of their offense and converted on their only shot on goal in the opening 45. Rachel Keeley sent a free kick into the box and after a scrum, Christina Verzi found the back of the net to cut the lead in half at the break.

After getting dominated in the first half, Harford started the second half with a little fire, but Cape Fear again outshot the Fighting Owls, this time 14-5. Just when it looked like the Sea Devils would remain in control, a flurry from a trio of Fighting Owls netted the equalizer.

Lorianne Hill and Worthington were trying to get something started, when a Sea Devil attempted to clear the ball. It smashed off her teammate's face and back in the Harford zone as the Fighting Owls seized their chance. Hill flipped the ball to Worthington who sent it slowly past the keeper and toward the goal, where Madison Ferrara and a defender gave chase. Ferrara pounded it home to knot the game at 2-2.
