ARNOLD, Md. - The Harford volleyball earned its first conference victory of the year with a 3-1 win at Anne Arundel on Wednesday. The Fighting Owls improved to 2-0 with a 25-20, 25-10, 23-25, 25-15 score.

Sophomore Maddie Hewitt led the way with her defense and passing, totaling 20 digs, while freshman Abby Claborn tallied 26 assists and nine aces.

Rookie hitter Lexie Roberts led the offense with 15 kills and three aces. Classmate Ashley Joyner chipped in with three blocks and seven kills.

The Fighting Owls return home on Friday for a 6 p.m. contest against Montgomery.
