Men's Hoops Drops Home Test, 102-88

Box Score
BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's basketball team (6-12) dropped a home contest against Division I foe Globe Tech (12-6) on Thursday. The Fighting Owls actually outshot and outrebounded the Knights, but turned it over too often for the victory.

Dimitrious Jelen-Joy erupted for 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting. He pulled in seven rebounds and led the team with four assists.

The Fighting Owls outshot Globe 49.3 percent from the floor to 47.1 percent and pulled in 47 rebounds to 45 for the taller Knights. But 29 turnovers was too much to over come.

On the same day that his second child was born, Carlos Brown had a solid showing with 18 points and nine rebounds. He shot 7-for-11 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the line just hours after his daughter was born.

Roger Schuman started in his place, as Brown arrived to the Arena during the National Anthem, and pulled in a team-best 10 rebounds to go along with eight points.

Jeff Joynes finished with 16 points off the bench, mostly coming in a second-half spurt where he couldn't be stopped. Colby Giacubeno connected on four triples for 12 points.

The Fighting Owls travel to Prince George's on Saturday.
