Box Score
LA PLATA, Md. - The Harford men's basketball team (4-9, 2-4 MD JUCO) used a second half surge to overcome a halftime deficit and earn the 99-85 road conference victory over Southern Maryland (5-11, 2-6 MD JUCO) on Thursday. Colby Giacubeno scored a game-high 32 points in the win.

The Fighting Owls scored 57 second half points to turn a 44-42 halftime deficit into a 14-point win. Jeff Joynes and Dwyane McGill came off the bench to kick start the offense, scoring 10 and 11 points, respectively.

Carlos Brown controlled the paint with 16 markers, while Dimitrious Jelen-Joy added 14.

The team's swarming defense and offensive rebounding allowed the Fighting Owls to pull away after taking the lead early in the second stanza.

Harford travels to Burlington on Saturday for a make-up game from the first week of the season.
