BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford women's soccer team (8-3-0, 6-1-0 MD JUCO) suffered its first conference loss on Wednesday in a 3-1 decision to Southern Maryland (11-1-0, 7-0-0 MD JUCO) in a battle for first place.
CSM's Alysse Houston, who leads the conference in goals, netted two markers in the win. Jasmine Biggs made four saves in goal, but surrendered a goal for the first time in a conference game.
Savannah Humphreys scored her 11th goal of the season, off an assist from
Morgan Kaseman, to bring Harford closer at 2-1 in the 66th minute.
Madison Smith made nine saves in the loss.
The Fighting Owls host Mercer County on Monday at 7 p.m.
