BEL AIR, Md. - Another record-setting Harford volleyball season came to an end just one win away from the NJCAA National Championships, as the Region XX Champion Fighting Owls (21-9) fell in straight-sets to the Region XVI Champions from Missouri State-West Plains.

The Fighting Owls lost 25-14, 25-8, 25-16 in the Division I District N Championship Game to the defending champion Grizzlies. Freshmen Lauren Brown and Fabiana Della-Monica led the charge for Harford.

Brown led the team with six kills while Della-Monica handed out 12 assists on the 15 team kills. Alexis Goldston and Ashley Joyner both recorded three kills in the loss.

Harford finished the season with a school record in wins for the second-straight year. The 21 victories were four more than last year's record-setting season.

The loss also ends the careers of the most successful class in school history. Sophomores Ashley Joyner, Julua Berg and Lexie Roberts end their career with 38 victories and two-straight Region XX Championships.
