Men's Hoops Tripped Up In N.C.

SUPPLY, N.C. - The Harford men's basketball team dropped its first two contests of the Brunswick Holiday Tournament this weekend. The Fighting Owls lost to the host Dolphins on Thursday, 75-66, and by two points to USC Salkahatchie, 78-76, on Friday.

Chidozie Omile led the team in scoring in both contests. He netted 21 points on Thursday and 18 on Friday before fouling out with two minutes remaining.

The Fighting Owls struggled at the line in the two-point loss, and without their top scorer, dropped its second-straight game. Davonte Williams missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the win.

Williams finished with 15 points, while Sheldon Chase added 12 and Wyatt Smith chipped in with 11.

On Thursday, Harford led by 14 in the first half before a 16-2 run by the host team put them in charge for the remainderof the contest.

Harford takes on Cape Fear on Saturday.
