Women's Lacrosse Dominates Dragons, 16-9

Box Score
BEL AIR, Md. - The No. 7 Harford women's lacrosse team (4-4, 3-2 MD JUCO) jumped out to a fast start and cruised to a 16-9 victory over Howard (6-3, 3-2 MD JUCO) on Wednesday.

The Fighting Owls scored the game's first seven goals and never looked back against a team it had lost to twice before this season, once by two goals and once by one goal.

Maggie Shifflett was unbelievable in goal, making a career-high 24 saves, including seven on free position attempts. She made eight saves before the Dragons got on the scoreboard, and by then, the game was virtually over.

Offensively, Sierra Sadtler had four goals and one assist and Emily Nosek added three goals. Three more Fighting Owls had two goals, and Katie Spence had two assists.

The Fighting Owls, who have won four out of five games, travel to CCBC Catonsville on Monday.
