BALTIMORE - The No. 3 Harford women's lacrosse team (8-6) defeated No. 2 Howard (7-5), 20-12, in the Region XX Semifinals on Saturday.

The Fighting Owls will now face top-seeded Anne Arundel in the Championship Game on Sunday at 2 p.m. The win also clinches a bid in the 2013 National Championships next week in Rochester, N.Y.

Colleen Chassagne netted four goals and an asist while Sierra Sadtler, Katie Spence and Sara Lebrun chipped in with three apiece. Emily Nosek had two goals and two assists and Maddie Hewitt added a pair of markers and one helper.

Maggie Shifflett made 16 saves in the win.
