BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Harford volleyball team won its 2013 season opener at Harcum on Wednesday. The Fighting Owls earned their eighth sweep in their last 18 victories, topping the Bears, 25-9, 25-14, 25-10.

2012 First-Team All-MD JUCO performer Lexie Roberts paced the Fighting Owls with nine kills and five seric aces. Classmate Ashley Joyner had four kills and two aces while freshman Lauren Brown had six aces and five blocks.

The Fighting Owls host Southern Maryland on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. in the 2013 home opener inside the brand-new APG Federal Credit Union Arena.
