BALTIMORE - The Harford volleyball team (7-1, 3-0 MD JUCO) earned another road win to remain unbeaten in a sweep over CCBC Essex (6-6, 1-2 MD JUCO) on Tuesday. The first-place Fighting Owls won 25-14, 25-9, 25-21.

Seven of the Fighting Owls' first eight games have come on the road, with Harford winning six of those matches. The Fighting Owls made quick work of the Knights on Tuesday, pounding out 35 kills in the win.

Ashley Joyner was the offensive star of the night, totaling 11 kills in 12 attempts for a .917 hitting percentage. She just missed a double-double with nine digs.

Lexie Roberts added 14 kills and 13 digs for her fourth double-double of the season. Julua Berg handed out 14 assists while Fabiana Della-Monica chipped in with 13. Christianna Belzner, Roberts and Berg each added four service aces, and Della-Monica had three. Lauren Brown had six kills without an error and five blocks, including three solo, for Harford.

The Fighting Owls host Frederick and Northern Virginia on Thursday for a tri-match beginning at 4 p.m.
