DOVER, Del. - The Harford volleyball team (11-3) won three of four Saturday matches at the September Slam Tournament at Delaware Tech-Terry. The Fighting Owls defeated the hosts, Valley Forge and Atlantic Cape in straight sets but lost to Northern Virginia in four sets.

The loss makes the Fighting Owls 0-3 against NOVA and 11-0 against the rest of the nation. Harford was outmatched by NOVA at home on Thursday but battled against them on Saturday. Harford won the second set 25-23 and almost forced a fifth set but fell 29-27 in the fourth.

Lexie Roberts and Ashley Joyner were named to the All-Tournament Team. Roberts totaled 50 kills and 41 digs in the 10 sets while Joyner added 24 kills and 48 digs.

Fabiana Della-Monica tallied 103 assists, Lauren Brown had 12 total blocks and Victoria Karayinopolus had 38 digs from the libero spot.

Harford travels to Garrett on Tuesday.
