McHENRY, Md. - Freshman setter Fabiana Della-Monica pounded out 19 service aces in an MD JUCO road sweep of Garrett on Tuesday. The Fighting Owls totaled 30 aces in a 25-8, 25-11, 25-5 victory to remain unbeaten in conference play.

The first-place Fighting Owls (12-3, 5-0 MD JUCO) only needed 21 kills, their second fewest in a win this season. Lauren Brown and Ashley Joyer both had seven kills in eight attempts while reigning NJCAA Player of the Week Lexie Roberts issued five.

Della-Monica set a personal-best over the weekend with 15 service aces in a win over Valley Forge. Her 19 on Tuesday set a new career-high and, paired with 15 assists, gave her three double-doubles in her last five matches.

The Fighting Owls travel to Howard on Friday.
