BALTIMORE - The Harford men's soccer team trailed 2-0 and 3-2, but fought back to earn a 3-3 road tie against rival CCBC Essex on Saturday.
In a very physical contest, the Fighting Owls held their heads high leaving the road venue with a conference point. A total of 16 cards were handed out, including two red cards. The Knights received 11 yellow cards and both reds, to the three yellows distributed to Harford.
Essex jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick and took a two goal lead moments later, but Harford wouldn't quit.
Nat Hand, who has been the hottest offensive player in the conference, scored a goal for the Fighting Owls.
Ryan Kinney and
Gody Dongo also found the back of the net. Dongo's was also a PK.
Chuck Hadley earned the tie in goal.
Harford will host Howard on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
