BEL AIR, Md. -- Harford Men's Basketball team lost its 10th straight contest after falling behind in the second half to Anne Arundel.
The Fighting Owls (5-18, 4-8 MD JUCO) fell 80-69 Wednesday night at the APGFCU Arena to the Pioneers in yet another tough loss. Harford and Anne Arundel (15-7, 5-5 MD JUCO) were locked up at 42 points heading into the half but the Fighting Owls were unable to keep up, getting outscored 38-27 in the second half.
The Fighting Owls were unable to get their second win of the season at home despite a solid effort from
Robert Konteh. Konteh scored 19 points, a season-high for the freshman big man, on 8-of-10 shooting from the field. Konteh controlled the paint, grabbing 13 rebounds and blocking two shots on the night.
Chidozie Omile had a game-high 23 points for the but other than Konteh, no other Fighting Owl player was able to crack double digits in scoring.
Garrett Snoops paced the Pioneers with 22 points in the game, hitting four out of nine shots from behind the arc.
Harford's next game will be on Tuesday against CCBC-Catonsville. They finish off the four-game home stand on Thursday when they will face CCBC-Dundalk.
