FREDERICK, Md. - The Fighting Owls dominated the second half in every facet but the one that mattered leading to a 2-1 Harford soccer (7-6-0, 6-3-0 MD JUCO) loss at Frederick on Tuesday. The teams were tied at 1-1 at the break and a late Cougar tally gave Frederick (8-5-0, 5-5-0 MD JUCO) the win.

Ryan Lesniewski scored Harford's goal on a rebound from Ben Smith to even the score at 1-1. Frederick was able to score both their markers on a long throw and a long free kick that the Fighting Owl defense was unable to knock away.

The Fighting Owls totaled 23 shots in the loss, a majority in the second half, but to no avail. Nat Hand had several one-on-one chances that came up empty in defeat.

Harford hosts Montgomery on Friday in a special Sophomore Day contest. The Raptors have already clinched the 2014 MD JUCO Championship with a perfect 9-0-0 conference mark.
