BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford women's basketball team (6-4 1-2 MD JUCO) got back to its winning ways with a big first half against Montgomery (6-4, 1-2 MD JUCO) in Monday's 80-62 victory. Four Fighting Owls tallied double digits in their first conference victory of the season.
Freshman
Mia Fitts led all scorers with 21 points. She she shot 7-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-5 from behind the arc.
Zana Godoy scored 14 of her 16 points during the first-half outburst, including 4-for-6 on triples. Harford led 41-26 at the break.
Ashley Smith totaled 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Ashley Hightower battled through foul trouble and scored 10 points with six rebounds.
Jasalyn Denkins chipped in with nine markers and eight caroms while
Connor Hanley returned to the court with a 7-rebound effort.
The Fighting Owls welcome Volunteer State on Saturday at noon.
