BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford women's lacrosse team claimed its first win of the season in its home opener, defeating Suffolk on Friday, 18-10. The Fighting Owls scored 10 of the final 13 goals to pull away in the second half.
Leading 8-7, Harford was a player-down after a yellow card. The Sharks had scored four-straight goals and looked for the equalizer.
Karley Bush, however scored short-handed to extend the Fighting Owls' lead. Harford then rolled to earn the win.
Bush finished with five goals for the second-straight game while
Brittie Andrews scored three times.

Abby Ranney,
Colleen Chassagne and Brittany Cudemore each scored two goals. Cudemore added a team-best three assists.
Rachel Smith was solid in net making 12 saves, including eight of 11 free position shots.
The Fighting Owls host Erie on Friday at 4 p.m.
