COLUMBIA, Md. - The Harford women's lacrosse team dropped a hard-fought road tilt against Howard on Friday, 17-13. The loss against the conference's top opponent drops Harford's MD JUCO record to 2-3 with one game remaining.

Sophomores Colleen Chassagne and Emily Nosek both tallied three goals in the loss, while rookie Brittie Andrews added two goals and three assists for the five-point effort.

The Dragons jumped out to a 7-0 lead before Harford started to claw back. The Fighting Owls trailed 11-5 at the break and 14-5 just two minutes into the second half before a rally started. Harford scored eight of the next 10 goals and trailed 16-13 with five minute remaining before running out of juice.

The Fighting Owls host Monroe CC on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
