Box Score COLUMBIA, Md. - The Harford women's lacrosse team lost an overtime thriller in the Region XX Championship Game on Sunday, falling to Anne Arundel, 17-16.
The Fighting Owls led 9-7 at the break and scored first in the first overtime period to take a 16-15 lead. Anne Arundel tied the game at 16-16 and with two seconds left, the Pioneers were awarded a free position shot after a Harford foul. Anne Arundel buried the shot and won the title.
Karley Bush and
Emily Nosek both netted six goals for the Fighting Owls.
Both teams advance to next week's NJCAA National Championship Tournament at Anne Arundel.
