COLUMBIA, Md. - The Harford volleyball team (4-0) won its season-opening tournament on Sunday, defeating conference foes Montgomery (3-1) and Howard (3-1) to take home the Dragon Invitational Championship. The Fighting Owls beat Montgomery, 3-2, to reach the championship match against the hosts, whom they defeated, 3-1.

Tiyana Bumbray collected 12 kills and 26 digs in the five-set match against the Raptors. Fabiana Della-Monica added 31 assists and 10 digs while Lauren Brown had 11 kills and 19 digs. Victoria Karayinopulos chipped in with 30 digs and six assists.

Brown led the way in the final with 18 kills and 12 blocks and Haleigh Plummer had seven aces, four kills and four blocks. Bumbray, Brown and Della-Monica were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Harford hosts CCBC Catonsville and Delaware County on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
