COLUMBIA, Md. - The Harford men's soccer team (1-3, 1-1 MD JUCO) earned its first win in shutout fashion over Howard on Wednesday, 2-0. Sophomore goalie Stephen Friend earned the clean sheet in his first collegiate start, making five saves.

The Fighting Owl offense gave Friend all the cushion he would need, scoring twice and hitting the post three times. Harford scored twice in a four-minute window right before the break. Camillo Fortunato netted his first career goal and Ben Smith followed suit in the 43rd minute. Both tallies were assisted by sophomore Ryan Kinney.

The Fighting Owls return home to face CCBC Catonsville on Friday evening.
