BEL AIR, Md. - The four-game win streak for the Harford men's soccer team was snapped with a 3-1 loss at the hands of Burlington on Monday evening. The Fighting Owls managed just three shots on goal in the loss, two saved by the Baron goalie and one rattled off the near post.
Burlington's Charlie McCaskill scored Burlington's first goal in the first half off a free kick and the game winner in the second half off a corner attempt rebound. He also inadvertantly scored Harford's tally on an own goal after a scrum in the box.
A brilliant tally in the games 74th minute by Shadek Bangura and Orlando Neto put the game out of reach.
Stephen Friend made a career-high 10 saves in goal in the loss.
Harford had a few late flurries, including one chance late that could have brought Harford within one. Soloman Koomsan-Dadzie sent a cross across the box but
Colin Leary's header clanged off the post. The rebound was there for the taking, but Koomsan-Dadzie's shot was stopped by a diving save.
