Box Score BEL AIR, Md. -- Harford Women's Soccer breezed to a 6-0 win over CCBC Essex to notch their first win of the 2014 season.

Harford (1-1, 1-0 MD JUCO) scored three goals in each half en route to an emphatic win over Essex (0-3, 0-1 MD JUCO). All six goals were scored by different players and five different Fighting Owls notched assists.

Karley Bush opened the scoring for Harford in the 12th minute and the Fighting Owls never looked back. The highlight of the match came in the 20th minute when
Angela Kuhn got on the end of a cross from Bush with a flicked on header over the Knights' keeper into the net to put Harford up 2-0. Harford made it 3-0 five minutes before the break when
Faith Edmondson scored her first goal of the season.
Kelsey Pena assisted on the goal, placing a through ball behind the Essex defense to put Edmondson in, one on one with the keeper.

Harford turned the game into a rout with a flurry of three goals in five minutes.
Lauren Vesely scored Harford's fourth in the 75th minute, assisted by Brooke Negrin.
Savannah Humphreys put Harford up 5-0 in the 79th minute, assisted by Vesely. Just a minute later
Rachel Rivera found the back of the net with an assist from Humphreys to put Harford up by the final margin of 6-0.

The win for Harford was a complete effort. Not only did they keep a clean sheet but they did not even allow Essex to create a chance on goal. Harford keeper
Ashley King was not forced to make a single save. In fact Essex did not register a single shot in the game.

Harford's next contest will be on the road as they travel to Columbia to face Howard on Tuesday. The Dragons are 0-1 so far this season.
