BEL AIR, Md. - Six Fighting Owls scored in double figures in Harford women's basketball 112-43 victory over Allegany on Monday. The Fighting Owls used a 31-0 run midway through the first half and rolled the Trojans.
Jasalyn Denkins and Ashley Hightower tallied double-doubles for the Fighting Owls in their seventh-straight victory. Denkins led all scorers with 25 points on 12-of-16 shooting and pulled in 11 rebounds. Hightower added 13 points and 11 caroms.
Jazmin Johnson showcased her skills to the home crowd for the first time this season. She netted a 21 points and added five rebounds, steals and assists.
Ashley Smith and
Mia Fitts chipped in with 15 and 10 points, repectively.
Playing in front of their former Bel Air teammates,
Megan Aro and
Connor Hanley both shined for the Fighting Owls. Aro recorded a career-high 10 points and four assists while Hanley continued her hot play with 10 rebounds.
Tori Pennington scored eight points and
Zana Godoy dished out 10 assists in the win. Harford travels to Howard on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
