VALHALLA, N.Y. - The Harford women's basketball team's eight-game win streak came to an end in a 79-72 road loss at ASA on Saturday. The Fighting Owls were outrebounded 54-28 in the loss.

The Fighting Owls led 45-44 at the break but were held to just 27 second half points. Harford shot 45.7 percent in the opening frame and 25 percent after intermission. 

Ashley Smith led Harford with 17 points and six assists while three others netted double figures. Mia Fitts added 16 points and six boards while Jazmin Johnson had 12 points and eight helpers. Jasalyn Denkins chipped in with 10 points. Five different Fighting Owls connected on two 3-pointers, including Zana Godoy.

Harford travels to Garrett on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
