ARNOLD, Md. - The Harford women's basketball team (18-4, 9-1 MD JUCO) kept pace in the race for the MD JUCO Title with a 91-45 victory at Anne Arundel on Wednesday. The Fighting Owls were paced by
Mia Fitts' 20 markers.
Harford scored the first 13 points of the game and took a 52-15 lead into the break. Fitts shot 9-of-12 from the floor and pulled in five rebounds, four steals and three helpers in the win.Â
Ashley Smith inched closer to becoming the third 1,000-point scorer in the last three years with a 16-point effort. She added nine caroms and four assists and is now 41 points away from cracking the illustrious club.
Jazmin Johnson scored 10 points and dished out a game-high nine assists.
Jasalyn Denkins recorded her fifth double-double in the last eight games with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Harford returns home for four-straight contests before the MD JUCO tournament, beginning with Friday's conference-tilt with Frederick at 5:30 p.m.
