Brandon Spain helped the Harford men's basketball team earn its third-straight victory with an 18-point second half outburst. The Fighting Owls defeated Southern Maryland, 69-63, behind Spain's career-high 25 points.
The win improved the Fighting Owls to 3-0 with Spain on the active roster and 3-3 in the MD JUCO standings overall. Spain netted 18 points in the second half on 5-of-9 shooting from the floor and 7-of-8 from the line.
Jon Warren added 14 points and a team-best 12 rebounds for the Fighting Owls while
Cameron Smith had nine markers.
Will Jackson chipped in with six points and seven rebounds and Spain added a team-high five steals in the win.
The Fighting Owls host Allegany on Monday at 7 p.m.
