COLUMBIA, Md. - The Harford volleyball team (16-5, 7-1 MD JUCO) bounced back from its first conference loss with a comeback conference win over Howard (12-10, 3-4 MD JUCO) on Thursday, 3-1. Sophomore Alexis "Twiggy" Goldston had her best career match in the win.

The Fighting Owls dropped the first set, 22-25, before finding their groove, 25-17, 25-20, 25-21. The contest ended on three-straight aces from Janessa Fauntroy.

Goldston led the team with 10 kills and zero errors for a career-best .769 hitting percentage. It marked the first time this season and second time in her career that the sophomore has totaled double-digit kills. 
 

Four other Fighting Owls recorded at least five kills as Morgan Tennant spread the offense around in the win. Tiyana Bumbray had nine and Alicia Horton added seven while Haleigh Plummer and Janessa Fauntroy had six and five, respectively.

The Fighting Owls host a tri-match on Friday against Hagerstown (6-9) and Monroe (25-0) beginning at 3 p.m.
