BEL AIR, Md. – The Men's Soccer team beat the College of Southern Maryland, 2-1 in overtime.
Gui Barbosa scored the winner to lift the Fighting Owls in a game that was delayed 90 minutes by lightning.
Barbosa got on the end of a diagonal cross from
Brandon Waite to net the winner, his second goal of the season.
Harford (6-5-1, 6-3 MD JUCO) got on the board almost immediately to start the game.
Corey Alt scored his fourth of the season just 15 seconds into the match. The goal was assisted by Waite as well.
A storm rolled in shortly after and the match was delayed at the 32 minute mark for 90 minutes.
Southern Maryland leveled the score at 1-1 with a goal in the 50
th minute by Michael Dome-Bemwin.
Harford will be on the road Tuesday to take on Prince George's.
