Box Score NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - The Harford women's basketball team (4-0) easily passed the first of back-to-back tests on Saturday, running away from No. 3 Mohawk Valley (5-1), 98-44. The Fighting Owls next face No. 3 Monroe CC on Sunday.
The Hawks had held their first five opponents to 43.8 points per game before the high-scoring Fighting Owls came calling. Harford, who came into the game averaging 107.6 ppg, were actually held to their lowest point total of the season, but still more than doubled Mohawk Valley's previous allowed output. The 98 points was the fewest of the early season by Harford by just one point.
The Fighting Owls were again lead by freshman
Daisa Harris and sophomore
Mia Fitts. Harris totaled 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting with four helpers and just one turnover. Fitts netted a season-high 20 markers and led the team with three steals.
Dominique Walker narrowly missed a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
Darra Walker scored 13 points and dished out four helpers.
