Triples, Strong Second Half Propel Win

SUPPLY, N.C. - The Harford men's basketball team (9-4) used a strong second-half performance to turn a six-point halftime deficit into a six-point victory in day two of the Brunswick Holiday Tournament. The Fighting Owls made four triples and shot 8-for-11 from the line in the second half to defeat Bryant & Stratton, 64-58.

Overall on the evening, the Fighting Owls shot 13-for-18 (72.2 percent) from the charity stripe, a season-best. In Harford's four losses, the free throw line has been its undoing, shooting 54.4 percent (68-for-125).

Cedric Hines came off the bench to led the team in scoring, totaling 17 points while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from behind the arc. He added six assists and four rebounds in the win. Evason Ogbonna also hit a 3-pointer in the second half, his only attempt, to finish with 11 points and five boards.

Jay Johnson also handed out six helpers while Davonte Williams reached double figures for the fourth time this season with 10 markers. 

The Fighting Owls close out the tournament with a 4 p.m. contest against Cape Fear on Friday.
