COLUMBIA, Md. - The Harford women's lacrosse team (3-2, 1-1 MD JUCO) took a three-goal lead into the final six minutes of play, but fell at Howard (5-0, 2-0 MD JUCO) on Friday, 14-13. 

Tied 6-6 at the half, the Fighting Owls offense built three different three-goal leads in the second half. Harford scored four of the first five goals of the second session, and back-to-back goals by Lauren Haggerty and Karley Bush gave the team a 13-10 advantage. The Dragons then scored three goals in 1:37 to knot the game at 13-13. With 1:21 left, Howard's Michelle Sparling netted the game winner.

Haggerty led Harford with five goals while Karley Bush tallied four. Lacy Underhill scored once and assisted on three others. Allie Storke made a career-high 15 saves in the loss, after making 14 saves in the previous four games combined.

Harford hosts Nassau on Sunday at 10 a.m.
