FREDERICK, Md. - The Harford baseball team braved the cold Saturday afternoon to stay undefeated in the MD JUCO conference as they went on the road to sweep a pair of games from Frederick, 16-6 and 9-4 respectively. The Fighting Owls hit five home runs total and got a pair of excellent outings from their starting pitchers.

Harford (21-5, 9-0 MD JUCO) broke open a one-run game in the opener with a nine-run seventh inning. The Fighting Owls scored six in the second inning and cruised to a win in game two, securing another MD JUCO sweep, this time against the #9 ranked team in the nation (NJCAA Division II) in Frederick (19-4, 5-2 MD JUCO).

Harford 16, Frederick 6Harford rallied for nine runs in the seventh inning of game one, powered by a pair home runs by
Dominic DiSabatino and
John Mastrangelo. It was Mastrangelo's second long ball of the game, giving him five on the year. DiSabatino hit a three-run shot, his fourth home run of the season.

Josh Silvestri (4-1) toed the rubber for the Fighting Owls and went the distance. He gave up five runs in the opening frame, falling victim to some tough luck errors in the field by his defense. He locked in after that, giving up just one run the rest of the game. He allowed nine hits and a walk while striking out six over seven innings pitched.

Harford 9, Frederick 4Harford plated six runs in the second inning and never looked back as they cruised to a win in game two.
Joe Sheeran landed a haymaker in the inning, smashing a grand slam way out of the park in the left field for his first home run of the season.
Tanner Forry also went deep in the night cap, blasting a two-run shot to left in the third inning, his fourth of the season.

James English (3-0) was dominant again on the hill for the Fighting Owls. The sophomore righty pitched six strong innings to earn the win for the first place Fighting Owls.

Harford has a couple days off before the hit the road again Tuesday for a road contest at CCBC Essex. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
