Box Score HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Harford volleyball team (8-2) improved to 3-0 in conference play with a five-set road victory at Hagerstown (2-8, 2-1 MD JUCO) on Monday. The Fighting Owls defeated the Hawks for just the second time in school history, marking the second-straight MD JUCO win over the rival Hawks.
Haleigh Plummer totaled 11 kills against just two errors in the win while
Alicia Horton and
Tiyana Bumbray both had six kills and Jannessa Fauntroy and
Alexis Goldston added five.
Morgan Tennant tallied a double-double with 27 assists and 16 digs to go along with four aces and three assists.
Braquelle Horton led the way with 25 digs.
Alicia Horton chipped in with four solo blocks and seven digs.
The victory gives the Fighting Owls a 2-0 lead in the Battle of the Birds competition, with wins in men's soccer and volleyball. The two schools compete in nine sports head-to-head for the annual trophy.
