BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford volleyball team won both matches to open its season on Wednesday, sweeping Cecil and topping Northern Virginia in four sets.
Tiyana Bumbray totaled 29Â kills and
Alicia Horton added 22 against just three errors in the pair of wins whileÂ
Morgan Tennant dished out 62 assists for the Fighting Owls.

Harford 3, Cecil 0The Fighting Owls made quick work in the opener, disposing the Seahawks, 25-19, 25-15, 25-7. Bumbray had 13Â kills against just two errors while
Alicia Horton totaled 10 kills. Tennant paced the offense with 27 assists on 32 team kills.
Harford 3, NOVA 1Tennant handed out a career-best 35 assists in the four-set victory, Harford's first win over Northern Virginia in school history.
Alicia Horton also set a career-high with 12Â kills and a team-best .417 hitting percentage in the win.
Bumbray had 16 kills and 11 digs while
Braquelle Horton recorded a personal-best 26 digs.
The Fighting Owls travel to Howard for the Dragon Invitational, with five matches over the weekend.
