Box Score BALTIMORE - The Harford men's soccer team (3-4-1, 3-3-0 MD JUCO) played another hard-fought contest but dropped its second-straight 1-0 decision, this time at CCBC Essex (5-4-0, 5-1-0 MD JUCO) on Tuesday.
The Knights broke the stalemate with a rebound goal in the 85th minute to earn the win. Harford goalkeeper, who had his second consecutive great effort between the pipes, made the initial save, diving to his right, but CCBC Essex controlled the rebound and fired a shot, point-blank, for the lone goal of the evening.
In what has become a great, but one-sided rivalry between the two Region XX opponents, CCBC Essex improved to 4-0-1 against the Fighting Owls in the last five meetings.
Harford will play home matches on Friday and Saturday this weekend after a minor schedule adjustment. The Fighting Owls host Frederick on Friday at 4 p.m. and Mercer County on Saturday at 11 a.m.
