BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford volleyball team swept Anne Arundel on Tuesday to improve to 2-0 in the conference. The Fighting Owls returned home after their second-place finish at the weekend tourney and took care of business with a .337 hitting percentage in the win.

Janessa Fauntroy made her debut with a three-kill, zero-error, four-block performance. Tennant added 32 assists to go with her five kills and .400 attack percentage.Â
The Fighting Owls travel to rival Hagerstown on Monday for a Battle of the Birds competition. After Harford's 4-2 victory in men's soccer on Tuesday, the Fighting Owls hold a 1-0 lead in the all-sports competition between the two schools. Harford has only won the Battle of the Birds once in the four years of competition, during the 2013-14 season.
