LARGO, Md. - The Harford women's basketball team scorched the nets en route to a 113-21 road victory over MD JUCO foe Prince George's on Friday. The PG Owls were down to just three players with seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, and the game was called.
The 92-point victory is the second largest of the year, just behind a 113-20 win over Penn State-York in November.
Daisa Harris continued her recent torrid pace, scoring 24 points on 11-of-13 shooting to go along withe nine steals and eight assists. Four other Fighting Owls were in double figures, as
Mia Fitts and
Kaschae Harris each netted 14 points. Harris came off the bench to shoot 6-of-7 while Fitts connected on 5-of-8. Both guards were 2-of-3 from behind the arc.
Ten of 12 players recorded a steal as Harford nabbed 23 steals in the win.
Sheri Addison and
Janessa Fauntroy both scored 13 points. Addison's shooting line was identical to Fitts from the floor and behind the arc while Fauntroy just missed a double-double with nine rebounds.
Diamond Mickle pulled in a team-best 10 caroms.Â
The Fighting Owls scored more points in the three full quarters (36, 40, 30) than Prince George's scored in the entire game. Harford outscored the other Owls 40-3 in the second quarter.Â
