  • The Short Story:  Larsen Green scores the only goal for the Fighting Owls as the Cougar's Maycol Nunez was just too fast for the Harford defense to contain

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Despite producing a number of opportunities with the ball in the box, the Harford team was just unable to get the ball towards goal enough to trouble the Cougars goalkeeper.
  • The game went into halftime 0-0, but quickly exploded with goals in the second half.
  • Larsen Green scored in the 80th minute with a nice build up play that resulted in Jerry Washington finding Green in the middle of the box for a breakaway goal. 
  • That lone Fighting Owls goal was after the Cougars were already up 3-0 with Maycol Nunez assisting on the first two goals before scoring one of his own; all of which happened in the span of five minutes.
  • Harford was able to get seven corner kicks on the day, but nothing to show for them.
 
GAME NOTES
  • Frederick is now tied for 1st place in the conference at 8-1 with Essex, who's only loss in conference play came at the hands and feet of the Fighting Owls.
  • Harford is tied for 7th place with Howard at 15 points with just two games left on the schedule before postseason play.
  • Nunez leads the conference in goals (20), points (45), and shots (49). Washington is 3rd, 2nd, and 5th in those categories respectively.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will remain at home for their final two games starting with Catonsville on Tuesday, October 11th at 5 PM.
  • Catonsville is currently 5-8 on the season and 3-6 in Md Juco conference play.
