  • The Short Story: Mackenzie Wills scored four goals in the game including a first half hat trick. Shianne Georgantakis scored a brace to continue her hot-scoring ways.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Mackenzie Wills used her speed advantage early and often in the game as she scored on four breakaways. Georgantakis assisted on the first one with Briana Stabile providing on the next two and Jenna Staton on the fourth.
  • Shianne Georgantakis once again scored on a long free kick; this time from 25 yards near the end of the first half. She also scored on a breakaway thankgs to a Shannon Hazle pass to get her through.
  • Kristen Shock tallied 3 saves in the game for her second consecutive shut-out and her third in four games.
 
GAME NOTES
  • The Fighting Owls out-shot the Cougars 19-3 and were able to completely dominate possession throughout the contest.
  • Georgantakis has scored 9 goals in the last four games. Georgantakis now leads the conference with 46 shots tied with her teammate Alexandria Adams and Wills is just behind them at 3rd in the conference with 44 shots.
  • Wills moved into 5th place in the conference with 11 goals and 26 points while Stabile is tied for 3rd with 7 assists.
  • Kristen Shock picked up her 5th shutout of the season and is now 2nd in the conference in Save Percentage, Goals Against, and Goals Against Average.
