HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford had three set points in the first set, but were unable to capitalize on those chances
  • After that it was all Harford despite some very tense and drawn out points. The Fighting Owls jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the second set and were able to hold on thanks to a big Phoenix Offutt kill to finish the game.
  • Another big run in the third set propelled Harford as they went on a 9-1 run to give the Fighting Owls a 12-5 lead. Delaware Tech followed that up with a 5-0 run of their own, but back-to-back kills by Mary Snow broke the streak and a pumped up Savannah Meyers had a few big kills.
  • The fourth set was marred by errors on both sides, but a couple of late kills by Jenna Hathazi and Julia Gatch won the match for the home side.
