  • Final Score: Harford 3, Essex 0 -  Potomac State 3, Harford 0

  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls women's volleyball team split a couple of matches in the tri-match as they defeated Essex in straight sets before getting swept by Potomac State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first match went exactly as the Fighting Owls had hoped as they won all three sets by the score of 25-13. 
  • Middle hitters Phoenix Offutt and Mary Snow again led the way against Essex as Offutt finished the match with 8 kills and Snow with 6.
  • The Potomac State match was a different story as the heavy hitting Catamounts proved too much for Harford. 
  • This match had seven different Fighting Owls with kills as the team all tried to step up and help the cause. In addition, four different Harford players provided assists in the match.
GAME NOTES
  • Rebekah Hanshaw tallied double-digit digs in both games with 16 and 13 respectively. Hanshaw now leads the conference with 382 digs; 25 more than the 2nd place player. 
  • There was a stark contrast in the two matches as they had just 9 attacking errors in the first match and double that amount in the latter.
  • Hannah Roussey leads the conference with 496 assists on the season while Mary Snow is now 5th in the conference in kills with 138.
  • The Fighting Owls are 2nd in the conference with their 8-1 record, only trailing Hagerstown with just two conference matches left in the season.

  • Harford will host Hagerstown for a massive conference showdown on Wednesday, October 12th at 6 PM.
