  • The Short Story: The Harford women's basketball team continued their perfect start to the season as they improved to 13-0 after defeating Prince George's 123-63.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Daisa Harris was fantastic once again as she led the charge with 25 points, 12 assists, and 6 steals. The points and assists mark the 2nd most for her in a game this season.
  • Danielle Durjan set her personal best for points scored in a Harford jersey with 24 points on 9-20 shooting including 4 three-pointers. She also tallied 6 steals along with 4 assists and 6 rebounds.
  • Dominique Walker only played 13 minutes because of early foul trouble, but she made the most of that time with 16 points on 7-8 shooting.
  • The last of the Killer Ds, Dahnye Redd, tallied her fifth double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Adrienne Jones added 15 points as she continues to be one of the hottest long-range shooters on the team, going 3-3 from behind the arc.
  • Joy Morton came off the bench and came dangerously close to a triple-double with 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.
GAME NOTES:
  • The Fighting Owls are off to their best start in program history at 13-0 and lead the conference at 5-0. Only Cecil (4-0) and Baltimore City (2-0) remain undefeated in conference play.
  • Harford out-rebounded Prince George's 71-40 with the Fighting Owls scoring 54 points in the paint as they continue to play big.
  • Star forward Tolulope Otoki missed the game with an undisclosed lower body injury.
UP NEXT:
  • The #17 ranked Fighting Owls will hop on the bus to Florida for a weekend of basketball to close out 2016.
  • Up first on the trip is #3 ranked Chipola in Marianna, Fl. on Friday, December 16th at 5 pm.
  • Chipola is undefeated this year at 10-0 and are two years removed from a national championship.
