McHENRY, Md. - The top-seeded Harford women's basketball team (23-2) cruised through the MD JUCO Quarterfinals with an 87-59 victory over No. 8 Garrett on Thursday.
Mia Fitts led all scorers with 29 points.
Harford made six of their first seven baskets to jump out to a 16-3 lead. The Fighting Owls were playing team basketball, collecting assists on all six game-opening buckets. Harford actually took a 21-3 lead and never led by less than double digits for the remainder of the game.
Fitts made 12 field goals to help the Fighting Owls advance.
Daisa Harris finished with 16 points, nine assists and four steals.
Darra Walker was also in double figures with 11 markers.
Dominique Walker collected a dozen rebounds, netted seven points and had a pair of blocks.
Janessa Fauntroy chipped in with six points, 10 boards and three blocks.
The Fighitng Owls advance to the MD JUCO Semifinals on Saturday against No. 4 Cecil at noon.
