McHENRY, Md. - The top-seeded Harford women's basketball team (24-2) will defend their MD JUCO Championship on Sunday after an 86-52 Semifinal victory over No. 4 Cecil on Saturday.
Daisa Harris scored 29 points on 12-of-16 shooting.
One game after taking a 21-3 lead to open the Quarterfinals, the Fighting Owls began the contest on a 20-3 run and never looked back. Four players connected on at least two field goals in the first quarter, led by
Sheri Addison's three buckets and seven points in her first career start.
Darra Walker came off the bench to connect on five triples for 15 points while
Mia Fitts also netted 15 while dishing out three helpers. Harris was the star of the afternoon, however, pacing the offensive attack with six assists. Addison finished with a dozen while
Diamond Mickle grabbed a game-best 14 rebounds.
The Fighting Owls go for their second consecutive MD JUCO Title on Sunday at 1 p.m. against No. 2 Baltimore City.
