BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's basketball team closed out the conference regular season with another crucial win. The Fighting Owls, who secured their berth into the MD JUCO Tournament earlier in the week, defeated Southern Maryland, 83-75 on Friday.
Jon Warren had his best game of the season, recording his second-straight double-double. The sophomore burst out of his slump earlier in the week and tallied 19 points, a career-high 15 rebounds and three blocked shots.Â
Davonte Williams came off the bench to score 10 points in eight second-half minutes. Williams entered the game with Harford leading 64-61 and scored three-straight buckets to extend the lead to nine. He finished shooting 5-of-6 from the floor in the win.
Cedric Hines had 12 points while
Fadil Robinson just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.
Aaron McDonald also netted 11 points with four assists.
The Fighting Owls host ASA on Monday at 7:30 p.m. They will either be the No. 4 seed and face Hagerstown next Friday in the MD JUCO Quarterfinals or the No. 5 seed and play Cecil. Harford defeated both teams in the regular season.
