Baseball Bounces Back In Big Way

BEL AIR, Md. - After dropping its MD JUCO opener on the road on Wednesday, the Harford baseball team bounced back with a 17-5 home victory over Anne Arundel on Thursday. The Fighting Owls were hitting lasers all over the field all afternoon and blasted six home runs in the win.

Harford scoed multiple runs in all six innings at the plate, collecting 21 hits, 11 extra-base hits, en route to its first conference win of the season. Joe Burton went 4-for-5 including his first home run of the season and Chase DeMars added a pair of long balls. Dalton Weeks went 3-for-3 with a triple and a home run and scored three times.

Ty Williams and Luke Johnson also joined the home run parade and both players were among six Fighting Owls with multiple hits in the win. Dominic DiSabatino went 3-for-5 and pitched the final 1.1 to close out the win, striking out a pair.

Josh Houser improved to 2-1, tossing 5.2 innings of six-hit ball. The righthander struck out seven while allowing all five runs. He has received 44 runs of support in his pair of victories at home this season.

The Fighting Owls host Delaware County on Friday at 4 p.m.
