LA PLATA, Md. - The No. 3 Harford women's lacrosse team won its MD JUCO opener on the road against Southern Maryland on Wednesday, 24-11. The Fighting Owls led by three at the half and pulled away with a 14-goal outburst in the second half.

Lauren Haggerty dominated the field for the second-straight game, scoring six goals with three assists and winning 27-of-30 draw controls. Megan Aro and Karlie Abbot both added four goals and Danielle Hurley scored three time and dished out three assists,

Cassidy Jones continued to pace the offense with a career-high seven assists to go along with a pair of goals. Sierra Donovan netted three tallies and Jozlynn Kelly scored twice. 

Allie Stokre was again solid in goal, making nine saves. The Fighting Owls travel to Frederick on Saturday.
